Did You Know?3.0 and Mr. Winkle Wakes

Did you know? 3.0 opens my eyes to the fact that our world is changing extremely fast. The Internet is by far the best resource to date to connect the entire planet. The Internet is becoming the most effective tool for communication, research, advertising, and selling products. The Internet is beginning to replace older resources such as radio, newspapers, books, and even phones. The Internet alone could probably run the entire planet.
The sad part is the United States is so far behind these technical advances. The Chinese are building new technology every day leaving the United States in the dust. The United States is one of the largest nations with the best resources and still we are falling behind countries like China and India.

This video does an excellent job of pointing out the fact that the education system is out of date. The education system in the United States is not using all of it technological resources. Businesses, and hospitals are using computer and Internet resources to change the entire way the world is running. Technology is changing jobs and how they are done. Technology is making things easier and more accurate.
The school systems should be teaching children how to uses this technology.
The entire system must change, however I feel that it hasn’t because administrators are afraid that new technology could replace their jobs. For now teachers should at least incorporate new ways of learning in their classrooms. For example blogs, podcast, and ebooks.
