Why is important for students to post their work to blogs (or in other ways)?

1. Children can connect with authors/creators of a source. click here to learn more Children from NY choir get to sing with Fleetwood Mac after singer see's their video on YouTube.
2. Children can document their lives, chart their progress, and practice using technology.Click here to see a great example
3. Children can share their experience's with others and learn from other children's experience's.
4. Children can also connect with other children from diffirent cultures and communities, when posting their work to the global community.

  1. Hi Katie,

The blog is looking good and it's clear to me that EDM310 is a very forward thinking group of people!

Thanks to you and other from your class for the comments on my children's blog (Otley All Saints, Yorkshire, UK). We all really appreciate it and just to back up what you've said in this post, blogging has completely changed how we work as a school.

We now have a truly global audience for our teaching and learning. We have had comments from parents, ex-pupils, published haiku poets, childrens Laureates, students, people in government, industry leaders...... it's an endless list but makes what the children produce and post real and valued.

    Keep up the good work!
